A: In cases where prepared sperms are used for the insemination process, it is probable that this effect is manifested. This is because the sperms that swim to the top are preferred for the insemination purpose. It happens more so in the Y bearing sperm because the Y chromosome is half the size of the X chromosome. The sperm bearing Y chromosome are lighter and therefore swim faster.
