Chemotherapy: Treatment of cancer with drugs or chemical agents.Bone marrow: The inner, spongy tissue of large bones where red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are made.
Topical: Pertaining to the surface of the body, usually the skin.
Acupuncture: The technique of inserting thin needles through the skin at specific points on the body to control pain and other symptoms.
Cytotoxic: Substances or drugs that is harmful to cells.
Neutropenia: An abnormal decrease in the number of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell.
Anti-emetics: Substance or medicine that stops or prevents nausea and vomiting.
Platelets: A type of blood cell that helps prevent bleeding by causing blood clots to form. They are also called thrombocytes.
Cardiomyopathy: A disease of the heart muscle that impairs the ability of the heart to pump.
Hematoma: A localized swelling filled with blood. The blood is usually clotted or partially clotted and exists within an organ or a soft tissue space such as muscle.
