Liver: A large, glandular organ located in the upper abdomen. The liver cleanses the blood and aids in digestion by secreting bile.Liver biopsy: A liver biopsy is a procedure, which removes a small piece of liver tissue from the body, so that it can be examined under a light microscope to detect the signs of damage or disease.
Liver cancer: A disease in which malignant (cancer) cells are found in the tissues of the liver.
Autoimmune diseases: Diseases caused when the immune system of the body reacts against its own tissues and organs.
