Meditation helps the expectant mother to remain tranquil and develop her inner wisdom to bond with the baby, accepting the child as a blessing from heaven. In meditation, the chanting of holy sounds affects the consciousness of the baby in a positive way and helps in the development of the brain.

Assume a posture that is comfortable with spine kept erect. Breathe slowly and deeply, allowing the body and the mind to relax. Close your eyes and fix your attention on the third eye center or the point between the eyebrows. Chant any sacred mantra like 'Om'. To use the mantra for meditation, simply repeat it silently to yourself as continuously as possible. This practice of meditation develops our extraordinary power of attention and awareness. It connects you to the inner self and produces a deep, relaxed state. This feeling of tranquility affects the expectant mother and her baby in the most positive way.
