Adrenaline or epinephrine is prescribed to treat anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction that can occur rapidly just in seconds or minutes. It is also used for asthma attack, cardiac arrest, and low blood pressure. It is used along with a local anesthetic to control local bleeding. Adrenaline comes in an injection form and can be given by intramuscular (Muscle of outer thigh) or subcutaneous (under the skin). It also comes with a pre-filled automatic injection.
