Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which helps to treat high blood pressure, angina or chest pain and make easy for the heart to pump blood. It also helps to prevent future cardiac illness in hypertensive patients. It comes as a tablet of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg tablet usually taken once daily by mouth with food.
