Amoxicillin is recommended to treat respiratory tract infections, skin infections, infections of the ear, nose, and throat, urinary tract infections, prevention of bacterial endocarditis, lyme disease, and chlamydia infections. Amoxicillin can be prescribed in combination with clavulanic acid to avoid resistance.
