Ciprofloxacin: Antibiotic Used to Treat Typhoid Fever and other Bacterial Infections


Ciprofloxacin , a fluoroquinolone antibiotic prescribed for treating infectious diarrhea, typhoid fever, pneumonia, skin or soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal infections, chronic bacterial prostatitis, anthrax, and endocarditis. It is also recommended to prevent or treat pneumonic plague, septicemic plague, chancroid, tularemia, uncomplicated cervical and urethral gonorrhea, cat scratch disease, and granuloma inguinale.
