Theophylline is a bronchodilator which relaxes and opens air passages that makes breathing easier. It is prescribed to treat wheezing or shortness of breath, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, severe bronchitis, and emphysema.
Stop smoking as it decreases the effects of theophylline.
