About - Urethral Diverticula may be caused due to the blockage of periurethral glands into urethral lumen with epithelialization over the opening of the resulting periurethral cavity. It is most commonly diagnosed
in adult women.
Diagnosis- based on clinical suspicion with recurrent urinary tract infection, dysuria, post micturition dribbling, pervaginal mass. Diagnosis can be confirmed by Cystoscopy and or MRI scan.
Treatment - is by surgical repair of the urethra after excising the diverticulum.
