Urethral False Passage occurs when inserting a cystoscope sheath through the narrow section of urethral stricture or narrowing.

Causes -Occurs when inserting a cystoscope sheath through the narrow section of urethral stricture or narrowing. During optical internal urethrotomy. Sometimes in patients who perform clean self insertion of catheter (SCIC) to empty their bladder due to neurogenic bladder.Patients who do self dilatation of urethra to keep narrow open.

Treatment - Urethral stricture treatment is by open Urethroplasty.
