With a PhD in Nutrition and practical training (DAAD Scholarship- Germany) she focusses on physical and mental wellness. Her career spans academia, consultancy, and international organizations, where she has made significant contributions to advancing global health and nutrition.
Dr. Avantina has worked extensively in nutrition education, product development, and wellness counselling. Through her consultancy she advises clients on therapeutic diets, weight management, and wellness strategies using her unique DESS approach-Diet, Exercise, Stress, and Sleep management. She also develops new, easy-to-make recipes designed for both health benefits and practicality.
Her career includes leadership roles such as Chief Nutrition Advisor at BeatO Healthcare, where she led initiatives in diabetes management and reversal through innovative keto and low-carb food products, and served as a thought leader in therapeutic nutrition. She has also served as a guest faculty member and adjunct assistant professor at prestigious institutions in India and the USA, teaching food science, environmental policy, and community nutrition.
Dr. Avantina has been recognized for her innovative contributions, receiving the ISMN Healthcare Excellence Award (2022-2023) for promoting Indian nutrition on the international stage and the Best Recipe Award for the Freedom Meal at Liberation Day 2023 in The Hague. Her published works include several books and chapters on food science, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition, alongside popular articles and blog posts.
