Insurance Term - Pregnancy Care

A federal maternity legislation, enacted in 1978, requires that employers engaged in inter-state commerce who have 15 or more employees, provide the same benefits for pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions as for any other sickness or injury. This includes all employers who are, or become, subject to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This is applicable across USA.
