What is Behcets Syndrome ? Behcet’s syndrome is characterized by inflammation in blood vessels throughout the body, with seemingly unrelated symptoms.
Cause(s) : Causes of Behcet’s Syndrome is unknown. Auto-inflammation of the blood vessels could be a possible cause.
Symptoms :
Mouth sores
Skin rashes and lesions
Eye inflammation
Genital Sores
Uveitis (Uvea is a part of the eye that consists of the Iris, Choroid and Ciliary body)
Optic atrophy
Arthralgia (joint pain) and non-erosive oligoarthritis
Lungs - Pleuritis, nodules, consolidations, cavities and ground glass lesions
Inflammation in veins and arteries causing redness, pain and swelling in arms or legs
Confusion, seizures and memory loss due to lesions in the brainstem, basal ganglia.

There is no specific test to diagnose Behcet's syndrome. It is diagnosed based on certain signs and symptoms.
