What is Cervical Syndrome ? A group of disorders due to compression of the nerves that end at the cervical bones (first 7 bones of the backbone).
Cause(s) :
Ageing
Children less than 8 years with cervical spinal cord injuries
Symptoms : Frontal chest discomfort, also known as cervical angina
Pain in the scapular (shoulder) region
Numbness due to “pinched” nerve fibre, eventually death of the nerve fiber
Weakness due to compression of nerves
Neck pains and headaches
Arm pain
Inability to move arms or hold something in hand
Diagnosis and Tests : X-ray of the cervical bones
