Lambert-eaton Syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder involving the muscles of the limbs. The muscles become weak due to problems in the neuromuscular junctions.
Cause(s) :
Lambert-Eaton syndrome is often associated with lung cancer.
Symptoms :
Limb muscles closest to the trunk become weak, difficulty in climbing stairs and raising from sitting position.
Weakness of mouth and throat muscles
Weakness of eye muscles - double vision, drooping of eyelids, swallowing difficulty
