Storyline : Renee Zellweger, plays the role of Jane, a paralyzed former singer who lives alone and has a friend who claims that he can interact with angels. Joey (Forest Whitaker), Jane's friend, accidentally comes across a letter from Jane’s son, inviting her to come to his communion. Joey decides to take her to see her son. During the journey they two come across many people and finally reach Louisiana. Joey then tells her about her son. After staying away from him for six years, Jane is overcome with guilt and finds it difficult to meet him, but in the end she finds strength through the spiritual transformation she achieved during the journey to Louisiana and finally meets her son.
