Storyline : In 1969, PatchAdams who voluntarily stays in a mental institution,institution finds that helping the fellow inmates gives him an important purpose in life. Therefore, he determines to become a doctor to help people professionally when he leaves the mental institution. However, the scientific and medical community does not appreciate his system of healing and believes in not addressing the emotional and quality of life needs of the inmates. However the actual patients, medical professors, and hospital nurses all appreciate the work he can do, because they are unable to do it.Yes Adams is determined to find better ways to help them although he has to face serious consequences from the authorities.
