Storyline : Jack Torrance is a writer and he decides to work in the Overlook Hotel as a caretaker, because he believes the hotel’s solitude will help him write without being disturbed. He takes his son Danny and his wife Wendy along with him. Jack’s son Danny is psychologically affected and he can see dead people roaming around the hotel, which nobody else can see. Soon Jack’s behavior starts to change slowly, because the ghosts possess him and he wants to kill his own family. The rest of the film is about how Jack’s wife and his son manage to survive his madness.
