Storyline : With acting skill par excellence; Pallavi Joshi under Vipul Shah’s direction gave a performance that changed the image of T.V serials. Alpviram was certainly a step ahead presenting substance and incidents inspired from real life. The serial did earn accolades considering the time when the “Saas” “Bahu” (Daughter-in-law & mother-in-law) soaps were dominating. The trauma of the grandparents and fiancé to watch their loved one go into coma with no prior health conditions and not be certain if there is any meaning left to her life at all, was splendidly portrayed in Alpviram. Worse, knowing that their granddaughter is raped and impregnated while in coma, adds to the misery. Right from the Doctors, ward boys to fiancé everyone is under interrogation not knowing who the culprit is. This was an aspect that threw light on some of the abuses women face in hospitals through the hands of their attendees in reality.
