Storyline : Ocean Heaven is the story of Sam Wong (Jet Li) who is terminally ill. His 21- year- old son Dafu (Wen Zhang) is autistic and Sam has struggled to raise him since his wife passed away when Dafu was a child. The story is a heart- rending tale of a dying father’s attempt to teach his son to lead life with dignity. Sam attempts to help Dafu learn basic tasks in order to care for himself and he also yearns for a home for his son before he passes away. As the story progresses, Dafu befriends Ling ling (Kwai Lun-mei), a clown with a travelling circus who helps Dafu in her own way. Towards the end, Sam is dead and Ling ling has travelled with the circus, but Dafu is shown performing the tasks which Sam struggled to teach him. Ocean Heaven is a touching story about how one should reach out to an autistic person with love and care.
