Storyline : A biographical TV movie “Temple Grandin” focuses on the advanced levels of Autism in a child believed to be caused because of negligent and cold hearted mothers giving autism a form of Schizophrenia. Clare Danes as Temple suffers with several panic attacks and feels relieved in a conceptualized squeeze machine used in the farm on cattle. Developing a dislike for physical affection by people Temple also suffers with Sensory integration dysfunction. Soon the story focuses on how her mother refuses to send her to an institution and proves to the school authority that the machine was only a calming device and not sex toy that the school mistakes it for. She does all in her ability to help Temple fight her medical condition. Along the line Temple meets a supportive teacher Dr. Carlock who encourages her to finish school and pursue science as a career. Temple in the climax does acknowledge her family support and how she overcomes her difficulties and shoots to fame by bringing forward revolutionized practices for humane handling of livestock in ranches and slaughterhouses.
