Storyline : Matt Damon as Mark Whitacre acts as a whistle blower on his company’s price fixing tactics. In the course of acting as an informant he clandestinely tapes his company’s activities in different locations helping the FBI collect enough evidence to warrant a raid. Suffering with bi-polar disorder, in due course of time, his interests dovetail. He embezzles $9 million from his company while assisting FBI simultaneously hoping to become a CEO amidst all of this. Unable to cope with his own infractions and disorder, his claims get bizarre, to an extent he files a false complaint against an FBI agent for assault. What started off as a good deed, ends up with Mark Whitacre serving a prison term three times more than what white collar criminals are sentenced to. The movie is extremely slow paced but brings out an interesting crime story of conspiracies in the agricultural industry.
