Sulfasalazine is prescribed to treat inflammatory bowel disorders like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
It is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (long term inflammation of joints).
Inflammatory bowel disorders are conditions which cause inflammation and ulcers from mouth to anus and rectum.
It relieves the symptoms like:
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea with blood.
• Weight loss
• Fever and anemia
• Swelling of joints
• Joint pain
