366 Million People Worldwide are Diabetics
Diabetes has now become a global issue and current statistics point out that nearly 366 million people worldwide are victims of Type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
This disease also causes the death of 4.6 million victims annually and this calls for concerted effort on prevention strategies for diabetes.

People should be aware that Type 2 diabetes is caused when the body is not able to produce adequate insulin to break down glucose. This causes the blood sugar in the body to increase.

The good news is that Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by making important lifestyle changes especially concerning diet, regular exercise and weight management.
