5-year Old Refused Admission as He Lives 2-yards Outside School`s Catchment Area
5-year old Max Guerretta has been refused admission by a primary school for the second consecutive year because he lives 2-yards (6feet) outside the school's catchment area. His home is in Camden Town, North London and is 218 yards from the local school.
Max's mother is trying to get him admission in a private school and wants a council tax rebate. The council's policy which measures the distance from the schools centre to the middle of the homes says that the cut-off point for the school's catchment area is 216 yards.
