On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at least 80 children fell ill after taking their mid-day meal at two government schools in Bihar. About 50 children fell ill after eating the meal at a school in Samastipur district, around 100 km from Patna; while 30 children fell ill at a school in Bagaha district. The children started complaining of uneasiness after eating the meals, followed by vomiting and loose motions. They were admitted to hospitals immediately.
An official informed, "All the children are out of danger and their medical condition is stable."
