A smoke free place to be initiated

Passive smokers have always been at a loss when it comes to health issues. In California, travel is now the major source of environmental tobacco

Passive smokers have always been at a loss when it comes to health issues. In California, travel is now the major source of environmental tobacco smoke for residents. Environmental tobacco smoke (ETS, or passive smoking)is linked to a wide range of adverse health effects - from exacerbation of asthma to eye irritation and even lung cancer. In California smoking is now banned in the workplace and in public places. Researchers at the University of California have studied a group of 200 people with asthma, to see how they were faring with respect to ETS.

They found that around per cent of the group experienced ETS exposure during travel with coughing, wheezing or chest tightness. Many reported needing extra medication during travel times. Hopefully the study might encourage more places - like the locations these people travel a smoke free place.
