Police and ambulance officers rushed to the Narre Warren house and brought Rebecca to Dandenong Hospital for treatment.
Constable Travis Cusack was at the scene and praised young Noah for his quick-thinking actions.
“Noah’s mum was unconscious and if he had not made the emergency call it could have been quite some time before she received medical treatment," Constable Cusack said.
"He and his young brother would have also been left unattended.
“His actions might have saved her life and both he and his family should be very proud.
“Noah’s actions highlight the importance of triple 0 and how vital it is for parents to educate their kids about how to use this important resource.”
Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) spokesperson Wayne Debernardi said that Noah Opis was certainly a true hero.
"It is always a rewarding moment to have someone as young as Noah make a call to triple 0 for such a great result," said Debernardi.
“Our call-taker did a great job and was keen to nominate Noah for an award.
“This is a positive reminder to teach children at a very young age of what is required in the case of an emergency.
