Adults and Children dream of wanting to sleep more and more and just can’t seem to get enough of it. According to a research conducted by the University of Athens, one among four adults and one in three schoolchildren complain that they are not getting enough of snooze time every night.
Psychiatry professor and head of the Greek Association of Sleep Research Costas Soldatos said, “We spend 20 percent less time sleeping now than 100 years ago. The basic reasons for this are the modern way of life and the long and unsuitable hours we spend working or having fun.”Some 700 high school children from Athens were studied and it was found that they slept less than 7.5 hours each night on an average. This incidentally falls short of recommended sleep hours, at least 8 hours of sleep time.
