Many people believe that sweating off by doing vigorous exercise may help tackle a hangover. However that is not actually true. Ministers in the UK government have said that more than 3.8 million adults in England try to exercise to clear a hangover.
A recent survey by YouGov also found that one in five admitted to taking up sports to cure hangovers."The truth is, if you have a big night at the pub, you’re not going to compensate with a workout the following day. Damage from regularly drinking too much can slowly creep up and you won't see it until it's too late," said Public Health Minister Gillian Merron. “The Government is helping people to understand how much they are drinking through our Know Your Limits campaign.”
Currently it is recommended that women limit themselves to two to three units of alcohol per day, while men are permitted three to four units per day.
