The Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) will be distributing AIDS awareness calendar to all public gathering places
The Ramanathapuram District Collector, K. Sellamuthu, has ordered distribution of AIDS/HIV awareness calendar to all public gathering places // such as tea stalls, hair cutting saloons and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) outlets as these are the places where large number of public gather. The idea of AIDS awareness calendar was initiated by the Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), according to the officials the calendar would contain AIDS awareness warning with picture of south Indian film actress Trisha. The New Year calendar with AIDS awareness is initiated to increase the awareness and precautions to be taken to avoid HIV infection.
