Alternative Treatments Blamed for Steve Jobs’ Untimely Death
A cancer expert at Harvard has blamed alternative treatments for the untimely death of Apple Computer founder Steve Jobs, who had rejected conventional treatment for treating his pancreatic cancer.
Jobs, 56, died due to a neuroendocrine variety of pancreatic cancer earlier this month and Harvard cancer expert, Ramzi Amri, said that allowing the neuroendocrine tumour to grow out of control by opting for alternative treatment contributed to the early death of Jobs.

Amri said that Jobs has rejected conventional treatment which could have saved his life and though his conclusions have received support from some sections, many have criticized the theory that alternative treatments led to Jobs’ death.

University of Pittsburgh oncologist, Adam Brufsky said that Jobs died as there are no effective therapies to deal with the rare form of cancer that affected the Apple founder. “Whether he used alternative therapies or not had absolutely no effect on his survival or outcome. That was dictated from day one by his tumour and its biology, and our lack of effective therapies for this condition”, he said.
