Listening to each other and persistence has been the key to their long lasting relationship, an American couple who has been married for the past 75 years said. Betty Markoff, who recently celebrated her 75th wedding anniversary with her husband Morrie Markoff, said that relationships are difficult and people today tend to give up too quickly, LA Downtown News reported.
Markoff said that the key is to listen to each other and even if one doesn't agree with another, the couple has to communicate.
She added that a couple has to speak in a language which they can understand and listen to what the other has to say.
The couple, who met at Betty's cousin's wedding, have two children, five grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren together.
