In a recent interview with Grazia magazine, the Tomb Raider star said she had to deal with difficult emotional issues this year such as the death of her mother.And the actress slammed the media for negative scrutiny rather than empathising with her.
“The thing that’s disturbing is that instead of people saying, ‘This looks like a person that’s actually dealing with something, probably from emotions,’ they say, ‘Does she fit into skinny jeans and look thin?’” Usmagazine.com quoted her, as telling the mag.
Jolie added that people needed to understand that celebrities' problems with weight were not related to image concerns all the time.
“I want people to understand who I am as a person is not somebody that’s trying to look thin, but just trying to work through a very difficult year,” she said.
