Researchers have thrown light on how brain processes disgusting images. They say that their research could help people who suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Scientists made a study on how brain responds to fearful images. Fearful or disgusting images were flashed on a TV screen and people were studied based on their MRI scans. Scientists said that the brain uses different areas for processing disgusting images than for fearful pictures.// Doctors hope that study conducted in these specific regions of brain would help them find specific treatment methods for those with OCD. The study also shows those with obsessive compulsive disorder about contamination fears had a more intense reaction to disgusting images than those without OCD.
