COVID-19 tally in Andhra Pradesh touched 5.76 lakh, with 9,536 fresh cases registered on Sunday. There are 95,072 active cases in the state.
Andhra Pradesh has registered 9,536 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the state's tally to 5.67 lakh. Among this 95,072 are active COVID-19 cases. The district of East Godavari continues to report the highest number of cases with the latest count at 1,414 on Sunday. This was followed by West Godavari district that reported 1,076 cases, Chittoor reporting 957 cases, Nellore 844, Guntur 792, Prakasam 788, and Srikakulam reporting 733 fresh cases.
‘The district of East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, has the highest number of COVID-19 cases, currently battling 12,098 active cases. This is followed by districts of West Godavari with 50,474 cases, and Kurnool with 51,625 COVID-19 cases.

The district of Prakasam accounts for the highest number of active cases at 14,379. This is followed by East Godavari that is currently battling more than 10,000 active cases at 12,098.
In the last 24 hours, 66 more patients succumbed to the virus, taking the state's death toll to 4,912.
The recovery stands at 4.67 lakh, with 10,131 more recoveries being reported on Sunday.
