Apollo Hospitals Group has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Fiji National University as part of its efforts to upgrade and improve health care services in the country. The MOU was signed by the group’s Joint Managing Director, Sangita Reddy who revealed that they will be setting up an Apollo Tele-clinic in the country that will enable better access to telemedicine and referrals to the hospital in case of serious ailments.
The clinic will also include outpatient specialist consultation services, state-of-the-art diagnostic services, 24X7 emergency care access, diabetes management services and sharing of content on medical education and training programs.
“Through the establishment of the TeleClinic we will be strengthening our ties with FNU as well as the Fiji Government. Apollo Hospitals has created a new model of healthcare which delivers the highest standards of medical care in a cost effective manner. We believe that this model is appropriate for most of the developing geographies in the world”, she said.
