Health care major Apollo Hospitals announced on Thursday that plans are afoot to consider listing on US bourses in 2003. "We would consider listing on the US bourses after 2002," Pratap C Reddy, chairman of the Apollo Hospitals group said, adding it was a part of the business plan for the post-2002 period.
Though further details are not available at the moment, Dr. Reddy added that plans to raise the number of beds to 8000 from the present capacity are already underway and will be completed by 2002. Reddy said Apollo Hospitals had also firmed up plans to enter health insurance and had initiated talks with some insurance companies to function as a third party administrator.He also added that the revenue this year will be to the tune of 33 crores as against 25 crores last financial year.
