Apollo to Operate Tertiary Care Hospital in Yemen

Apollo Group of Hospitals has joined hands with Hayel Saeed Anam Group (HSA) of the Middle East to bring super-specialty healthcare system to Yemen.

Apollo Group of Hospitals, Asia's largest integrated private healthcare provider, has joined hands with Hayel Saeed Anam Group (HSA) of the Middle East to bring super-specialty healthcare system to Yemen.

The two groups signed the partnership agreement to operate the tertiary care hospital in Taiz, Yemen, said a statement by Apollo Group here.

Shawki Ahmed Hayel, executive director of HSA Group, and also the honorary deputy governor of Taiz State in Yemen and Prathap C Reddy, founder chairman, Apollo Group of Hospitals signed the agreement.

HAS is one the largest business groups in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The state-of-the-art hospital will offer super specialty services including cardio thoracic surgeries, hip and knee replacements, neuro surgeries and other high-end services. The hospital will also have a comprehensive emergency and trauma network covering the entire country.

The 160-bed hospital, spread across 200,000 square feet, is built in compliance with international hospital quality standards.

Apollo will provide the operational expertise and will also be responsible for quality accreditation, training and development, establishing systems and protocols for clinical and managerial functions.
