Researchers at University of Granada revealed that atleast 4 out of 10 patients patients suffering from head injuries have feign cognitive disorders such as depression, headaches or anxiety.

A lie detector was used in this research and it proved to be a useful tool to help professionals from the field of neuropsychology to find out when a person is faking or exaggerating their symptoms.

 The results from this research were presented in conferences such as the ‘International Neuropsychological Society’ or the ‘National Academy of Neuropsychology’. Furthermore, the results were published in the ‘Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology’ journal.
