Arunima Moved to AIIMS

Twenty three year old volleyball player Arunima Sinha, who was thrown out of a moving train near Bareilly last week, has been moved to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Twenty three year old volleyball player Arunima Sinha, who was thrown out of a moving train near Bareilly last week, has been moved to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), as per the advice of experts treating her at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU),Lucknow.
The Minister for Sports, Ajay Maken, also visited the hospital and met Arunima and her family before she was taken to AIIMS. He confirmed that the complete expenses of the treatment will be borne by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

The latest CT-scan taken at AIIMS has revealed three spinal fractures. Though Arunima’s condition is still critical, she is responding well to the treatment and is on the road to recovery.
