Asthma Cure Was in Pulling Out Teeth Fillings: Brit Man
A Brit man has claimed that getting his tooth fillings pulled put paved the way for his asthma cure.
Computer engineer Simon Williams believes he caught asthma because of mercury fillings in his teeth.

"It cost 500 pounds and was very painful to have them all pulled out," the Sun quoted 43-year-old Simon as saying.

"But when I woke the following morning I felt I could breathe properly for the first time in years. I am utterly convinced my dental fillings gave me asthma," he added.

Simon, a resident of Woolpit, Suffolk, spent a lot of time wheezing, feeling tired and suffering from dizzy spells after he suddenly developed asthma four years ago.

Doctors couldn't help him in any way until he turned to an American specialist, who blamed his fillings for the asthma.

"Get them out immediately," said his doctor.

Health authorities in America have warned that chewing can release harmful mercury vapour from ordinary amalgam fillings and this can then be breathed into the lungs.

But in Britain people are given eight million of them every year and the Department of Health insists they pose no danger.

"These fillings are durable and safe. Studies conducted over many years support their safety," said a spokeswoman.
