A television campaign is being launched in Australia to encourage the children in the country to lead a more active life to avoid getting chubby or obese. One in three tralian children are overweight and the Government is to spend six million Australian dollars (US $4.5 million) in its campaign, Health Minister Tony Abbott said.
But to receive that important message about the value of exercise, the overweight children will have to be sitting on their sofa at home. Children are also being encouraged to spend less time in front of the TV and computers, and go in more for outdoor activities and games like football, soccer, and cricket.Edited (IANS)
