Wendy and Jared Kennedy are the parents of the first baby born through the use of a frozen donor egg. This had been purchased from a commercial egg bank, Cryo Eggs International (CEI), which is a first of its sort in the world. Each of the seven eggs were purchased for US$ 2,500 by the couple.
The sperm of Jared was used to fertilize three eggs which were implanted in Wendy.
