A new smartphone app has been developed to help young parents ace baby care. The app 'Baby Blossoms' has been developed for Android platform. It keeps parents informed about nearby baby shops and hospitals, and even gives a list of names with their meanings that can prove handy for naming babies, a top company official said.
"Baby Blossoms is a smartphone app that aims at helping young parents in child rearing. The app includes a comprehensive list of features like a baby growth calculator, BMI/BMR (Body Mass Index/Basal Metabolic Rate) calculator, information on vaccination, and a provision to set reminders for diaper change and feeding time," Mind Media managing director K. Narayanan Nair told IANS.
The firm focuses on the development of smartphone applications for both Android and iOS platforms. It also offers training in Android to aspiring techies.
"There are also parental tips for young dads and moms," said Chinju Nair, one of the users of the app.
Available on Google Play, the online shop for Android apps, Baby Blossom can be downloaded for free. It works on all smartphones running on operating systems Android 2.2 and above.
