Bad Posture While Carrying Backpacks can Severely Damage the Spine in Children
Going by the present trend, school children in Australia may suffer severe spinal damage, bone degeneration and disability due to the manner in which they carry their backpacks, Chiropractors have warned.
The team found that bad posture while carrying the backpacks could increase the risk of spinal damage.

The research also found that students studying in junior college happened to be carrying backpacks which weighed close to 17% of their body weight.

Many students carried their backpacks too low on their backs and strangely used only one shoulder to carry them.

This can exert pressure on the nervous system and result in reduced mobility and early degeneration of bones and joints.
