In Britain ban on bird shows initially levied were lifted due to no reports of case ragarding bird flu.
The ban on bird shows in Britain has been lifted on account of no single case of bird flu detected in Britain.
Various events such as pigeon racing, falconry and other bird shows were regularly conducted in Britain. But due to this bird flu scare in October which was detected in Eastern Europe the events were banned to protect the people.
But now since no single case of bird flu was reported the health officials are planning to lift the ban on these events in England and in Wales.
The cause for the ban to be imposed was that of the deadly strain of the virus H5N1 which has affected both men and poultry in Asia.
The death tolls of birds were in millions and that of humans were 70 from 2003.
But now since the ban had been lifted they can conduct bird shows but still have to inform the local animal welfare health officials.
