The Delhi government has issued notices to all medical superintendents and directors at government hospitals to ensure doctors and staff report to duty on time.

Jain said he has been getting complaints from patients visiting hospitals as well as dispensaries about delays due to unavailability of staff. He said, "We are not going to allow this. It has been decided that all hospitals will have biometric attendance systems."
Sometimes these problems are also cited as reasons for delay in emergency services. "Even senior doctors aren’t available in wards or the emergency when needed. They have to be called in case of emergency," said a doctor at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.
