Authorities in Turkey have reported to have dead chicken and the cause they point out to is that of the bird flu.

The dead chickens were tested and they showed positive results for the deadly H5N1 strain. Officials have placed an eastern town under scrutiny and have been thoroughly checked for spread of disease to other birds.

The virus was first detected in the town of Aralik which comes under the province of Igdir. This town is next to Armenia which has previously reported chicken deaths. Officials fear that the strain would have come inside Turkey through Armenia.

About 350 chickens have been destroyed to prevent the spread of the deadly bird flu. Other measures are also being taken to put a stop.

They have planned to send the infected birds tissue and blood sample to the renowned European laboratories.

This is to make sure that the birds died due to the virus strain H5N1.

All the possible precautions are taken to prevent the spread of disease among the people as it is said that H5N1 strain has the capacity to mutate and cause disease in humans.
